International Coffee Farm’s mission is to “own and operate Specialty Coffee farms in areas that are Economically, Socially and Environmentally Sustainable”. Its founders believe in the principles of producing sustainable coffee in order meet their three pillars of sustainability: social, environmental, and economical.
Panama was chosen to become the coffee farming land not only because of its strategic geography, being home of the Panama Canal, but also because of it’s unique combination of altitude, fertile volcanic soil. It’s tropical climate with the right balance of sun, cloud cover, shade and rainfall allow the coffee to grow and ripen slowly. This gives the beans time to develop to their full potential.
